The Backstory

The client ran three ecommerce stores: one selling premium luxury furniture and two focused on cutting-edge LED mirrors, one in Australia and one in the UK. Before I came on board, their Meta ad campaigns were struggling with a modest return on ad spend (ROAS) of 2.5 to 3. They needed a game-changer to boost sales for these high-ticket products. My focus was on leveraging Meta’s creative-driven platform to showcase their premium offerings, optimize campaigns, and skyrocket conversions.

 

The Goal

      Increase ROAS significantly beyond the previous 2.5–3 range.

      Drive high-ticket sales across all three stores by targeting the right audience.

      Optimize ad creatives and campaign strategies to lower cost per acquisition (CPA) and maximize conversions.

      Build a scalable retargeting system to convert engaged prospects.

 

What I Did

As a Meta Pro Media Buyer, I took a creative-first, data-driven approach to transform the client’s ad performance across their three stores. Here’s how we crushed it:

  1. Creative Development:

      Designed multiple variations of ad creatives (images and videos) to highlight the premium features, sleek designs, and advanced technology of the luxury furniture and LED mirrors.

      Showcased product uniqueness—like the craftsmanship of the furniture and the innovative features of the LED mirrors—to appeal to high-end buyers.

      Tested a mix of formats, including cinematic video ads, carousel ads, and high-resolution images, to identify top performers.

  1. Comprehensive Testing:

      Conducted Creative Testing to pinpoint which ad visuals and messaging resonated most with the audience.

      Ran Audience Testing to refine targeting, discovering that men aged 35–65 were the winning demographic for these high-ticket products.

      Performed Platform Testing and found that Facebook delivered lower CPA and higher ROAS compared to Instagram, allowing us to prioritize budget allocation.

  1. Audience Strategy:

      Built custom audiences based on website visitors, video viewers, and engaged social media users to target high-intent prospects.

      Created lookalike audiences from high-value customers to expand reach to similar buyers likely to purchase premium products.

      Focused on men aged 35–65, tailoring ad messaging to their preferences for quality, status, and innovation.

  1. Retargeting Campaigns:

      Launched retargeting campaigns with top offers to re-engage users who interacted with the stores (e.g., viewed products or added to cart) but didn’t purchase.

      Used dynamic product ads to show personalized content, resulting in high conversion values from these campaigns.

  1. Campaign Optimization:

      Monitored key metrics like ROAS, CPA, click-through rates (CTR), and conversion rates using Meta Ads Manager.

      Paused underperforming ads and reallocated budgets to high-performing campaigns, leveraging Meta’s Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO) for efficiency.

      Continuously refined targeting and creatives based on real-time data to maintain low CPA and maximize sales.

  1. Website and Communication Support:

      Provided actionable suggestions to improve the client’s website, enhancing user experience and conversion rates to complement the ad campaigns.

      Maintained prompt, clear communication, quickly addressing the client’s questions and sharing strategic ideas to align with their business goals.

 

The Results

In just a few months, the client’s three stores saw transformative results:

      ROAS Surge: Achieved a stellar 10+ ROAS, a massive leap from the previous 2.5–3, driving exceptional returns on ad spend.

      Sales and Traffic Boost: Traffic and conversions skyrocketed across the furniture and LED mirror stores, with consistent high-ticket sales.

      Low CPA on Facebook: Facebook outperformed Instagram, delivering lower CPA and higher ROAS, optimizing budget efficiency.

      Retargeting Success: Retargeting campaigns generated high conversion values, turning engaged prospects into buyers.

      Scalable Growth: Established a robust ad system that supported ongoing sales growth for all three stores.
